Discontinue all Vitamin A (retinol. Retin-A,Rentinal), actives (acids, benzoyl peroxide, acne products) 7 days prior.

Post Treatment

Day 1-3: Avoid exercise, excess alcohol, saunas, and no sun exposure for 24hours. Mineral SPF may be applied. No Vitamin A, acids or anything irritating. Use products recommended to you.
Day 3-7: Avoid direct sun. Wear a heat and sunscreen. Return to normal homecare routine as soon as it feels comfortable. Skin may peel or flake 4-7 days post treatment.
Peels should not be performed on pregnant or nursing women or anyone undergoing cancer treatment.
Avoid anything that contains AHA's such as glycolic and lactic acid and BHA's such as salicylic acid for at least 48 hours prior to each peel treatment.
Do not use Retin-a or any other vitamin A product, including products that contain a retinoid or retinol for at least 48 hours prior to each peel treatment.
DO not use self-tanning agents for at least 48 hours prior to each peel treatment
If you have a history of cold sores, the peel should not be performed if active cold sores, fever blisters or herpes are present anywhere on your face prior to treatment.
The peel should not be performed on sunburned or windburned skin.
Do not have facial hair waxed/lasered 48 hours prior to each peel treatment. Avoid facial hair shaving 8 hours before each treatment.
If you have recently undergone any other facial treatment procedures, such as microdermabrasion, microneedling, dermaplaning, laser resurfacing, chemical peels, botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, facial plastic surgery, etc. skin must be completely healed and normalized prior to receiving the peel.
Post Treatment
Generally, non-comedogenic (non-pore clogging) makeup may be applied after each peel treatment.
Avoid exercise (sweating) for at least a few hours after each treatment.
Avoid direct sun exposure; wear protective clothing (i.e. wide-brimmed hat) and use a mineral sunscreen (containing titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide) with an SPF of 30 or higher, daily.
Do not use retinoid- or retinol- containing products such as tretinoin, Vitamin A derivatives for 5 days after a peel treatment, unless otherwise directed.
Do not use potentially irritating ingredients such as harsh exfoliating products that contain AHA or BHA's (i.e. glycolic, lactic acids, and salicylic acid) for 5 days after a peel treatment unless otherwise directed by your Esthetician.
If irritation occurs, stop or do not resume use of products until the skin has normalized
Facial hair should not be waxed for 48 hours after a peel treatment. You may resume facial shaving the day after each peel treatment or when skin has normalized.
Avoid the use of heat sources such as steam, saunas, professional or home hairdryers for 8 hours following a peel treatment.
This treatment can not be performed on pregnant women, anyone going through cancer treatment and anyone with metal implants or heart conditions.
Please avoid sun exposure, sunburn and tanning beds for 7 days prior.
Post Treatment
Do not directly touch the treated area for 24-48 hours following treatment to minimize the risk of infection, keep the area dry and refrain from environments that cause overheating, perspiring or sweatin
Do not pick at the treated area, premature removal of scabs may result in hyperpigmentation, infection, or scarring.
Use mild cleansing products around the treated area during bath time, remembering to keep the treated are protected and dry (band-aids may assist with protection during the cleansing process, however be sure that the band aids are not axed toany parts of the treated areas).
Use a gentle massaging motion when cleansing and patting motion when drying the skin.
Refrain from applying makeup for at least 24hours, although its preferable to wait until the skin is completely healed.
Refrain from using products or receiving treatments such as skin lightening, exfoliation, and peeling techniques for a minimum of 14 days post healing.
The average healing time is 6 days. In some cases you may notice that your skincare practitioner has immediately removed larger skin irregularities. In this case, please continue to be gentle and follow the directions above as the skin is still undergoing a healing phase. Other treated areas may darken and scab and fall o, in some cases it can take as long as 10-14 days. Gentle daily cleansing after the “no touch” period will assist the skin with healing faster.
